How Much Do You Charge For DTP Services?

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering how much to charge for DTP services? Is it per hour/ page?

Does anyone know, on average, how much translation agencies usually pay for this type of service?

I don't do DTP. I'm a translator.

It depend on complexity of the document Dec 29, 2021

It depends on how complex the document is. Usually its on per page basis and it's are 4-5 USD per page.

That is what I wanted to know. I don´t offer this type of service yet as I am still learning the softwares and would like to also offer DTP services in the future. Just trying to gauge how much translation agencies usually pay for this type of service.

I do DTP. I'm a translator.
I do translation. I'm a designer.

Rate: 55 €/hour and up (definitely up if it's DTP-only).
My translation-related DTP is mostly certificates, though, and that's not really professional DTP work.

You will not be able to really "offer DTP services" unless you have actually worked as a professional designer for some time (2-3 years full-time). But anyone with some level of commitment can learn the technical basics, which goes a long way, and your translation-related customers may not know the difference.
