A France-based agency is refusing to pay me and several colleagues. They are just ignoring our emails. Does anyone have any experience in collecting payment from a French agency? Would you suggest a collection agency or some other legal route? All advice welcome! Alain | | | Nicole Schnell United States Local time: 01:00 English to German + ... Aside from sending them emails. What did they say?
Remember to post a low rating for them in the Blueboard as soon as your payment is solved. Thank you on behalf of the community!

Łukasz Gos-Furmankiewicz wrote: Why, Tom? Because if you haven't been paid and you make judicious use of the BB, as described in a number of previous threads, it works and it's quick (the OP of the thread to which I posted a link -above- got paid in full *the same day*). A lawyer should be the last resort, not the first resort. That's a general rule in life, actually.

Hi everyone, I've been following the conversation, and reading the advice. Are these legal options available for someone who's not living in France? Also, would you recommend any French lawyer and/or collection agency you have tried? Thanks a lot! Raya Mansour | | | adrianads Local time: 10:00 English to Spanish + ... Their excuse not to pay was that I had to deliver more and more languages before getting the payment, thus, work more months without seeing any money! They actually use my content written by me of their products on their site and have the guts (sorry for the expression) to not have paid for it. During all this time they offered me a contract which I never saw, and most probably was a way to 'encourage' or pretend that they are licit. Scandalous.
