Lawyer-Linguists are professionals who use both their professional credentials in law and translation and/or interpretation in their daily work. Some lawyer-linguists are freelancers, while others work for law firms, governmental institutions, and other corporate entities. Practicing lawyer-linguists, as well as those interested in this dual profession, will be provided with content-rich presentations from a variety of lawyer-linguists globally, as well as other stakeholders, who will share information on the different types of work that lawyer-linguists carry out, training for the profession, as well as legal translation techniques and resources.
