English–Korean linguist specializing in software localization, technical translation, LQA, MTPE, and AI translation evaluation within TMS-based workflows — from developer documentation and UI strings to video tutorial scripts.

Currently in-house on Snowflake's Global Localization Team: translating product and technical content for the AI Data Cloud, reviewing vendor translations from the client side, and evaluating MTPE outputs inside the company's proprietary AI translation platform — proposing prompt adjustments that improve Korean output quality. Alongside this, I maintain ongoing long-term engagements with Microsoft (Azure, Copilot, Microsoft Learn) and JetBrains content.

My freelance practice, begun in 2016, hit its stride with SDL (now RWS) in 2017: nearly three years of high-volume production across 25+ global accounts — cloud, consumer electronics, global brands, compliance, e-learning — that trained me to switch domains, formats, and client voices at speed. Multi-year partnerships have defined my practice since, including 7+ years with Alconost. Across these engagements, my project portfolio spans Google Cloud, AWS, Autodesk, Unity, Epic Games (Unreal Engine), and institutions including the European Commission and UNESCO.

Before translation, I spent fifteen years in publishing, beginning in design. I conceived, commissioned, and edited a title on translation methodology selected as a 2024 Sejong Book — a national distinction awarded by Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Quality judgment — knowing precisely why one sentence works and another fails — has been the through-line of my career. In Other Words, Mona Baker's classic on translation, remains my working philosophy: for nearly a decade I have searched for those other words between English and Korean.
